Record World was one of the three main music industry trade magazines in the USA along with Billboard and Cash Box. It was founded in 1946 under the name Music Vendor but in 1964 the name was changed to Record World. It ceased publication on April 10, 1982.

This issue includes a full page article on Cheap Trick’s At Budokan album, and the front cover mentions that “I Want You To Want Me” is on the way to hitting the Top-40 list.

The Hamer Quad 12-string bass is shown.
