Dommenget 12-String Bass with Tremolo

Boris Dommenget of Dommenget Custom Guitars in Hamburg, Germany built this 12-string bass for bassist Andy “Moshela” Bolle in 1992. To our knowledge it is the first 12-string bass ever built that includes a tremolo. It incorporates a swamp ash body with a flamed carved maple top with a Birdseye maple neck with Macassar fret board.

Regarding this Dommenget 12-string bass, John Gallagher, bassist for Raven, said, “I saw this 12-string bass on your site with the tremolo - it's on my Christmas list!”

The inlays are 150-million year old ammonites.

The bass was included in the 1992 Dommenget product catalog flyer.
