This issue of Punk Magazine was designed to be a spoof / commentary on nuclear mutation and includes a 44-page pictorial story of a nuclear mutant beach party gone wrong. The story features famous personalities as the cast including Debbie Harry, Joey Ramone, Andy Warhol, Joan Jett, Peter Wolf, and many more. The premise of the story is that one out of every four persons is already a nuclear mutant. Hmmm, that sounds about right…

The outer cover of the magazine is a full-page ad for Cheap Trick with Tom Petersson holding his Hamer Quad 12-string bass. This same ad appeared in many other magazine such as Bomp!.
