This article is an interview with Andy Duke of the Buck Brothers and reviews the multitude of guitars and basses used on the band’s albums and tours. Andy states, “‘I’ve been experimenting with various basses to get a bigger recorded sound. This Dean 12-string works quite well with one signal through an Ampeg and the other through the Marshall (Super Bass). It sounds like a Precision through an octaver from hell. It’s on a new track called ‘Deeply Shallow’.

The 12-string bass is mentioned in an overview of the Cheap Trick studio albums. Tom Petersson left the band prior to the completion of All Shook Up so no 12-string bass was included on it. Rick Nielsen played the bass lines on the album.
