In the interview with Enuff Z’Nuff guitarist Derek Frigo, the band’s 12-string bassist, Chip Z’Nuff, is mentioned: “Upon closer listen, the trio’s musical formula is actually straightforward melding of lush pop vocalizing and hard rock riffery, with metal-ish guitar solos aplenty. But while only a few bands can pull off this balancing act with grace, Enuff Znuff does it with the aid of two reverent songsmiths - singer / guitarist Donnie Vie and four-, eight-, and 12-string bassist Chip Znuff - as well as their tap-happy secret weapon, guitarist Frigo. A slap-dash reviewer might characterize that sound as ‘Eddie Van Halen jamming with Cheap Trick’, but Frigo’s influences actually go all around the melodic metal spectrum and then some.”
