Hamer B12A Variants

Ron Johnson provided the information and photos of his 1985 Hamer 12-string bass. This bass has a number of differences from the standard B12A. These changes were made based upon suggestions from Tom Petersson. No specific model name was given to this B12A variant so it has been referred to simply as the “Tom Petersson model”. It is long scale with a single truss rod. Very few 12-string basses were made in this configuration.

The headstock is thinner than that found on a standard B12A and is a more streamlined shape.

This bass is unusual in that it does not have the 'sound hole' typically found on this model. It has the boomerang inlays, ultimate flame top, and an ebony fingerboard.
