The Hamer prototype 10-string bass is shown on the front cover.

Ongaku Senka, translated as “specialized course in music”, was in operation from 1967 to 1987. It specialized in publishing photos of American and British rock bands. This issue includes several photos of the Hamer prototype 10-string bass.

Instructions include how to tune the strings and to play three strings at once.
