The publishers of 16 Magazine decided that they needed a magazine that would focus more upon hard rock and pop music. In 1979 their new magazine Rockline! was launched. It was published monthly with many special editions throughout the year. Rockline! ran for about 10 years.

This issue includes a photo of Cheap Trick taken by famed music photographer Robert Alford. Tom Petersson is playing a Natural Hamer B12A 12-string bass.
