Music Express was published in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from 1976 to 1996. Originally titled Alberta Music Express, the name was shortened in 1978. It started in tabloid format but was changed to a magazine in 1982. The primary focus was on rock and pop Canadian music.

The article about Cheap Trick is an odd assortment of information about the band’s tours of Canada. In part, Rick Nielsen discusses why a few months earlier Pete Comita had taken over as bassist for the band, but all the photos are of Tom Petersson. The live photo of the band playing at the El Mocambo in Toronto was taken over three years earlier, with Petersson playing the Hamer 10.

Music Express Magazine

The September, 1990 issue of Music Express Magazine includes a photo of Cheap Trick on the front cover. This photo is from the same photo shoot as the Cheap Trick photo included on the front cover of The Music Paper magazine for their November, 1990 issue. No other 12-string bass content.
