Andy told us, “When we supported Goldfinger in 2008 on their UK tour, Kelly LeMieux, their bassist, turned me on to 12-string basses and your website. I've been hooked ever since. Our album ‘We Are Merely Filters‘, released on Cargo Records, features the 12-string bass on the track 'Deeply Shallow'. That track got its US radio debut when Rodney Bingenheimer at KROQ in Los Angeles spun the track not once but TWICE on his show. I think it was the 12-string bass that did it.”

“I used a Dean Rhapsody 12-string bass for the recording with a combination of the treble pickup going through a Marshall JCM900 and 4x12/neck pick up through Ampeg SVT and 8x10 and a little DI for good measure.”

Andy also included his Dean Rhapsody 12 in an interview he did: “Guitar Magazine (UK) did a profile on me in which I make reference to the 12-string bass ("like a Precision going through an Octaver from hell!”) which I thought your Surf Rat shaped self would appreciate. The article also features a sexy photo of the bass as well.”
