J. C. Harper 12-String Bass

Luthier J.C. Harper built this custom 12-string bass in 2011. While he is now located in California, when this bass was built he was working in Great Falls, Montana. This 12 was a custom order for a bassist in Wisconsin.

The body wings are made of Mahogany, with a Maple / Purpleheart laminated 5-piece neck. The fingerboard is Bocote with Paua abalone inlays. The neck is short 30 1/2” scale with 22 frets.

Schaller 471 8-saddle bridge with built-in tailpiece. One master volume and one tone pot. DiMarzio pickups.

Sperzel locking tuners were used, and the bass has a graphite nut.
