Burrn! - nOVEMBER 1998 Issue

An interview with Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx includes several photos of his customized Black Hiroshi Kid’s 12-string bass. In 1997, Sixx had four Kanji characters tattooed onto his chest, the characters representing “Spirit, Soul, Desire, and Passion for Life”. He then had those same characters inlaid onto the body of his 12-string bass.

1999 Metallion Special Issue Vol. 7

Burrn! Magazine published a series of special issue Metallion magazines that include in-depth interviews and articles featuring a wide variety of musicians and rock bands. This issue includes an interview with Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos and includes three photos of the original Hamer Quad 12-string bass from the 1978 concerts in Japan.
