2022 Cheap Trick $1 Million Novelty Bank Note

A novelty $1,000,000 bank note featuring Cheap Trick appeared in an online auction site in 2022. The reverse of the bank note shows bassist Pete Comita playing a white Hamer B12S 12-string bass in 1981, while a more current image of the band is on the front.

 

1988 3XY Radio Station Playlist

The neck and headstock of a Hamer B12A 12-string bass are pictured on this May 13, 1988 playlist for radio station 3XY-1422 in Melbourne, Australia. At that time, Cheap Trick’s song ‘The Flame’ was #1 on the top 40 singles chart, with the Lap Of Luxury album ranked at #8 on the Album chart.

2007 ROCKFORD ILLINOIS VEHICLE REGISTRATION STICKER

In 2007 the city of Rockford, Illinois honored their hometown heroes by using the cover art from band’s latest album for their annual vehicle registration sticker. The decal was to be applied at the lower right hand corner of the windshield, and was valid for a maximum of one year.

2006 Cheap Trick Rockford Album Japanese Standee

This laminated standee advertises the upcoming 2006 release of Cheap Trick’s Rockford album. It was produced in Japan and includes the album’s price in Yen. It measures roughly 4” high by 8” wide. A Waterstone 12-string bass is pictured.

 

1997 Pearl Jam Calendar

The 1997 calendar for Pearl Jam features Jeff Ament and his black Hamer “Ament” 12-string bass on the front cover, as well as being the background image on the back cover. The band issued calendars for a number of years, plus there are unauthorized calendars in existence.

This calendar was published by Oliver Books in London, England. It measures 12” wide by 16½” high.

Appropriately enough, this picture of Ament was used for the 12th month of the year.
