In addition to his large arsenal of 4-string basses, Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx was also known to frequently play 12-string basses. Born as Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna in 1958, he legally changed his name to Nikki Sixx in 1980.

It has been reported that Sixx has five different Kids 12-string basses. Two of these are referred to as "Dragon" basses due to the dragon inlay on the body. The other three have Japanese character inlays. All five of these basses are pictured here.
