Cory Robinson's 12-String Bass Rig

Cory writes, "Here are some pics
of my latest rig. It's a Mesa Boogie Buster head. It's all tube, 200 watts of
power. It's powering one Avatar 2x12 cabinet loaded with Celestion G12-T100's,
and one old Sundown 4x12 cabinet loaded with Celestion G12-S75's." "I use a MXR M-80 pedal / direct box for EQing. No need to use the distortion channel anymore with this setup. I use the direct out from the Mesa head as it's from the pre-amp. I also use a Furman Power Factor Pro for regulation and filtering and it really does work!" "I travel with my old G-K RB400 head as a spare, just in case. You never know with tubes!" "As for my Musicvox 12ver, I just rewired the whole thing. I removed the bridge pickup entirely a-la Tom Petersson. I never used it anyway. The neck pickup is now wired direct to the output jack. I discovered that all the pots were wired in reverse and that is why the controls on the Musicvox are 'quirky'. It has a much fuller and brighter sound now as its not being loaded down by all those pots and caps."
