A big Thank You to Bob Singer and Waterstone Musical Instruments! Be sure to check out the Waterstone website.

The Contest is now over - Thank You for entering!

To enter this contest and have a chance to win your very own Waterstone Ozone 12-string bass, all you have to do is submit something to us for publication that is relevant to the 12-string bass. It could be a photo of you and your 12, a review of a 12 or another piece of gear that would be useful to a 12-string bassist, an article or interview, the possibilities are almost endless. See the list below for some suggestions. Every photo or other item will count as a separate entry, and you can enter as many times as you wish. Just make sure that the photo doesn't already exist somewhere on this site and that you are not infringing on anyone else's copyright. The odds of winning will depend upon the number of entries received.

Send in your entries via email to surf@12stringbass.net or you can mail them to us. See the official contest rules below for our snailmail address. Entries will be accepted from December 4th through noon MST on December 15th, 2006. This contest is open to everyone worldwide. The winner will be selected by a random drawing of all eligible entries at 2pm on December 15th and the prize will be on its way to the winner later that afternoon. That should allow enough time for the bass to arrive just in time for Christmas, we'll even ship it 3-day international express if necessary!

The winner will be required to send us a photo of themselves with their new Ozone 12 within 30 days of receipt. We'll publish that photo on this site and Waterstone may use it as well.

So get busy and send in your entries already!

Need some suggestions as to what to submit? Here's a list of things that will get you entered. All must be relevant to the 12-string bass:
Live gig photos of you and your 12-string bass. These will also qualify you for your own Featured Player page. If you already have a Featured Player page on this site, new photos can be used to update your page.
Send in photos of your 12-string bass. Or "famous player" photos in which they are playing their 12. Do you like a body style that thus far isn't available in a 12-string? Photoshop your favorite Fantasy 12ver.
Interview a famous player. Submit a news article. Or write a review of your bass, a foot pedal, strings, or anything else that would be helpful to other 12-string bassists. Write a paragraph or two and tell us why you play a 12-string bass.
Are you really creative? How about painting us a picture? Write a poem or a naughty limerick. How about a haiku? Thus far there have not been any songs written about the 12 - here's your chance to be first!
Record a song or a sound sample for the Audio page. Build a diorama. Draw some wiring schematics of the electronics in your bass or foot pedal. Write some sheet music or transcribe some music recorded with a 12. Create some tabs.
Videotape yourself doing a 12-string bass interpretive dance. Or a puppet show! Send in a copy of your albums you recorded using a 12 for our Discography page.  Or just let us know about other albums that still need to be included.
Make a contribution to this site or send us a prize to give away in our next contest. Donations are greatly appreciated and help us maintain 12stringbass.net as the most extensive source of information about the 12-string bass on the internet.
